Love Helmut Strudel. This is one of my go to spots on Bearskin Neck. The pastry is just the best!

I wouldn't say about it but it didn't love up to the hype from ratings on here or what we'd heard from a friend. We split an apple strudel a la mode for $7 and the strudel piece was small and not anything too special. It did come with two scoops of vanilla ice cream which I thought was the best part. They also have cherry and cheese strudels you can have with ice cream too.

Staff is always friendly, strudel is always delicious. A must to eat a small piece with a coffee. Than take a whole one home for later.

Great view from the deck, the dessert options are excellent.

Great little place to get your strudel on! My wife and I tried the variety of pastries and they were exquisite. The outside sitting area is great for a relaxed dining environment and the view is calming and inviting.

Strudel was fantastic, croissants were stale and awful. They did take cards.

Authentic strudel accompanied by their excellent coffee. Wish they'd bring back the almond paste flavor.

Been going here since the early 90s! The place has never changed which is part of it's irresistible charm! Delicious Strudel and pastries and the perfect cup of coffee on a cool foggy day! The staff are very nice as well!

Their iced coffee is so light and bland, I wouldn't get it again. The location of the cafe is nice, you get a nice view of the sea from their back deck

Arrived 45 minutes before closing and they told us that they already cleaned out the espresso machine. Lazy and pathetic. All they cared about was leaving at 7pm on the dot. The customer comes last.

Cash only. Great coffe and very good bakery sweets. Outdoor seating at the back is very relaxing and has fantastic views.

Idk how others review Helmut's, but personally for me, this is the best coffee/bakery area to visit on earth I can think of finding. It'd be pretty difficult to top this in future where ever I travel. Just go and see the view out if you try this place. The place is awe inspiring.

Wonderful, tasty and fresh pastries even in the mid-afternoon! Nice peach iced tea too...and a reasonable bathroom. Great casual place for a treat when in Rockport.

Great place to have cherry strudel and look at beach from shady patio. Reasonably price and delightful staff. A must see in Rockport.

I’ve been coming to Helmut’s since I was a little kid. Every time I get the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. The strudel is always flaky and filled with just enough apple. You must stop here if you are walking around Bear Skin Neck!

This Rockport mass small town that u can walk along the ocean there are plenty of beaches shops to browse .gets very busy there but if u get there early u will find parking .alot of art galleries.

Great little spot for coffee and treats, in a great little area. If your in this area I suggest you stop in, the views, the setting, the whole experience is worth it.

Coffee is excellent, and so are pastries. If you are on a budget, they usually have bags of day old pastries for sale which are almost as good and much cheaper.

A great little bakery known for its strudel, right on the water. The location and studel can't be best. It is cash only so be sure to stop at an ATM on your way. The area is often crowded so be prepared to park and walk from further downtown.

Best Pumpkin Spice Latte I’ve had in a long time! Unfortunately, they only take cash. So I couldn’t try any of their delicious looking baked items.

They have amazing strudels and coffee. Definitely after having lunch at a restaurant in Rockport. Seat and relax in the back porch and enjoy the view!

Helmut's Strudel is one of our go-to spots for coffee and pastries during bike rides around Cape Ann. Great views of Rockport Harbor from their deck.

It's the first place to open in the morning when in rockport

Went there because many of our friends recommended it, we loved their pastries. The sweet cheese strudel was a really nice surprise, we liked it very much.They also have a small deck overlooking the bay, we spent a few minutes there and enjoyed the view.

Highly enjoyable cherry strudel. Crunchy & flakey with nice ratio of cherry filling. Also enjoyed the single Americano this afternoon.

We drive from Connecticut just to get Helmut's strudel!! It's that good. They have other stuff too but I have only had the strudel.

Fantastic strudel at this family owned bakery! They also serve a variety of danishes with cheese and jam fillings. Their day old sale tastes great and they offer an assortment of three pastries for only $3.25 - what a bargain! The people are very friendly and the service is very courtes.

This is always our first stop when we visit Rockport.
